After the £4.9m redevelopment of its pool and gym completed in 2011, Camberwell Leisure Centre now offers the local community a 30 workout station gym with a 25 metre pool and learner pool all beautifully restored with its Grade II listed Victorian features.

The new and extended 30 workout station gym reopened in September 2011. The gym is the second Southwark centre in the country to be fitted with the new Life Fitness cardiovascular equipment which includes integrated digital TV screens and the Virtual Trainer facility which enables users to save time at the gym to choose their workout before they arrive.

Pool facilities include swimming lessons, classes, pool parties, inflatables and women only sessions.

The centre is currently under further redevelopment for its dance studio, sports hall and youth facilities due to be complete mid-2012.
