100 public ping pong tables installed across London

Following London Mayor, Boris Johnson's announcement at the Beijing Olympics that 'ping pong was coming home in 2012', there will be 100 public ping pong tables installed across London for one month this summer.

Sited in landmarks, squares, shopping centres, airports, parks and train stations, the ping pong tables will be free for all to enjoy.

Locations will include Tate Modern, the O2 and the Natural History Museum, and Jubilee Hall Trust has secured one for the Covent Garden Piazza!

Members of the public will be able to just borrow a bat from the side of the table to play. Jubilee Hall will also be arranging some organised fun activities and a professional master-class during the time that the table will be in Covent Garden.

The tables are being installed on Saturday 24th July and will be in situ for one month. More information about the event as well as the locations of the tables is online at www.pinglondon.com
